Member of the International Academy of Comparative Law. Visiting Researcher at the Max Planck Institute for Ausländisches und Internationales Privatrecht (Germany). Author of the books “The Prohibition of Contradictory Behavior,” “New Paradigms of Civil Liability,” “Personality Rights,” “Contractual Balance and the Duty to Renegotiate,” and “Handbook of Contemporary Civil Law,” among others, as well as numerous articles in specialized journals. Attorney for the State of Rio de Janeiro. Consultant and arbitrator in proceedings in Brazil and abroad.
